How It Works: Syn-Ake mimics the paralyzing effect of Waglerin-1 from temple viper venom, temporarily inhibiting muscle contractions to smooth out wrinkles without full paralysis.

  • Competitively inhibits the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) at the postsynaptic membrane.
  • Prevents binding of acetylcholine, reducing signal transmission to muscles.

Researchers tested a lab-made peptide called Syn‑Ake and found it sticks well to proteins linked to aging (MMP‑13 and SIRT1), can neutralize free radicals in a test tube, and appears safe in basic cell‑toxicity and bacterial mutation assays.
