[The use of thymalin in the combined chemotherapy of patients with infiltrative destructive pulmonary tuberculosis].
Ivanova. L A LA
Key Findings
- 76 patients received thymalin alongside standard TB drugs
- Treatment group showed quicker clinical improvement than control
- Cellular immunity markers (e.g., T‑cell counts) rose faster in the thymalin group
Practical Outcomes
- For biohackers, thymalin may act as an immune‑boosting add‑on, but evidence is limited to sick patients with TB. It isn’t proven to enhance health or performance in healthy people, and dosing protocols are not described.
Summary
A study on 116 lung‑TB patients found that adding the peptide thymalin early in standard chemo helped the patients recover faster and improved their immune cell numbers.
Abstract
Results are reported of the treatment of 116 patients with a control group pulmonary tuberculosis. Patients of the main group (76 persons) received thymalin at the early stages of chemotherapy. Results were compared with a control group. It is shown that immunochemotherapy allows to increase the treatment efficacy earlier with a parallel restoration of cellular immunity indices.
