Key Findings
- Thymalin improved general health status in periodontitis patients.
- Cellular immunity showed notable improvement, while humoral immunity improved to a lesser extent.
- Blood coagulation and fibrinolysis (including Hageman factor‑dependent pathways) were normalized.
Practical Outcomes
- The results suggest thymalin could be a modest immune and blood‑clotting regulator, but the study is tiny, disease‑specific, and lacks dosing details. For biohackers, it’s an interesting hint rather than a ready‑to‑use protocol; more robust research is needed before incorporating it into longevity or performance regimens.
Summary
A small study with 30 people who had gum disease found that taking thymalin seemed to boost overall health, improve certain immune cell functions, and help blood clotting and breakdown processes return to normal.
Abstract
Studies made in 30 patients with periodontosis have shown that thymaline improves the general health status of patients, thereby promoting the normalization of cellular and, to a lesser degree, humoral immunity. At the same time the drug normalizes blood coagulation, the total and Hageman factor-dependent fibrinolysis. It is concluded that thymaline is a modulator of the immunogenesis and hemostasis.
