Key Findings
- Complicated gallstone cases show immune depression
- Thymogen improves immune function in these patients
- Thymogen use lowered postoperative complications and mortality
Practical Outcomes
- Thymogen may be useful for immune support around major surgeries like gallstone removal, but it isn’t a general anti‑aging or performance supplement for everyday use. Its benefit is limited to specific surgical contexts.
Summary
The study found that people with complicated gallstones have weaker immune systems, and giving them the peptide thymogen helped boost immunity, leading to fewer complications and lower death rates after surgery.
Abstract
On the basis of experimental and clinical investigations the authors showed immunity depression in complicated forms of cholelithiasis. Thymogene appeared to be efficient for immunocorrection that permitted to lower the frequency of postoperative complications and lethality.
