[Circulating immune complexes in acute concussion of the brain].

Midlenko. A I AI; Biktimirov. T Z TZ; Garmashov. Iu A IuA; Smirnova. M A MA; Smol'ianinova. V P VP

In kids with a recent brain concussion, immune complexes in the blood keep rising for about three weeks. Shining a laser on certain neck arteries or acupuncture spots lowered these levels, especially when aimed at the acupuncture points. The peptide thymalin, given in age‑appropriate doses, didn’t change the immune complex levels at all.

Utility 1
pubmed 2000

[Effect of cytomedins on development of organotypic culture of various tissues from the internal organs of rats].

Chalisova. N I NI; Khavinson. V Kh VKh; Davydenko. V V VV; Dorovskiĭ. A A AA; Verbovaia. T A T...

Researchers tested natural peptides from various organs, including thymalin from the thymus, on tiny pieces of rat tissue grown in the lab. They saw that these peptides helped the tissue grow better at very low concentrations, suggesting they might boost repair processes. However, the study was only done in rat tissue cultures, so it doesn’t give clear guidance for human use yet.

Utility 1
pubmed 1999

[Effect of immunomodulators of varying nature on the expression of lymphocyte markers in melanoma patients].

Zaporozhets. T S TS; Likhobabin. V Ia VIa; Besednova. N N NN; Ermolenko. M V MV; Kiseleva. S M SM

The paper tested thymalin and a few other immune‑boosting compounds on blood cells from melanoma patients in a lab dish and found that each person’s cells reacted differently, depending on their starting immune marker levels. It doesn’t give any dosing advice or proven benefits for healthy people, so it’s mostly a preliminary observation rather than a usable protocol.

Utility 1
pubmed 1995

[A comparative evaluation of the efficacy of immunocorrection in children with bronchial asthma living in ecologically contrasted regions].

Trishina. S V SV; Zorin. V N VN; Babin. Iu F IuF; Trishin. S V SV; Ruban. A V AV; Ruban. V V VV; Sko...

The study looked at kids with asthma living in polluted versus clean areas and found that those in bad environments had weaker immune cells and that the peptide thymalin didn’t work as well for them. It suggests that fixing the environment and using other immune‑boosting agents might be needed.

Utility 1
pubmed 1996

[New approaches to therapy in glomerulonephritis patients].

Riabov. S I SI; Rakitianskaia. I A IA; Stavskaia. V V VV; Nikitina. N A NA

The study suggests that before treating chronic glomerulonephritis, doctors should test how a patient’s cells respond to drugs, and if they’re not sensitive, they recommend using the peptide thymalin (or tactivin) together with several plasmapheresis sessions to boost drug sensitivity before giving standard chemotherapy. This protocol is specific to kidney disease patients and isn’t directly useful for general health‑optimization or longevity goals.

Utility 1
pubmed 2012

[The use of Timalin in the treatment of the acute lung abscess].

Tsybikov. M N MN; Likhanov. I D ID; Borshchevskiĭ. V S VS; Kuznik. B I BI; Tsepelev. V L VL; M...

The study looked at adding the peptide Timalin to standard treatment for people with a serious lung infection called an acute lung abscess. They found that patients who got Timalin showed faster improvement in inflammation signs and blood clotting markers compared to those who only got regular care.

Utility 1
pubmed 2004

[The functional condition of the immune system and the lymphocytes' hemopoiesis-modulating properties].

Chreshnev. V A VA; Iushkov. B G BG; Daniliova. I G IG; Khramtsova. Iu S IuS

The study shows that cells taken from donors' spleen or thymus can boost red blood cell and white blood cell production and affect platelet levels, but it’s about transferring whole cells, not taking a peptide supplement, so it doesn’t give clear, usable advice for self‑experiments.

Utility 1
pubmed 2007

[Immunological correction in progressive pulmonary tuberculosis].

Maslennikov. A A AA; Kamenev. V F VF; Kolomiets. V M VM

The study looked at adding a special immune‑boosting treatment (likely the peptide thymalin) to standard TB drugs. Patients who got the extra immune therapy healed faster and had lower death rates, especially when the treatment was tailored to each person. However, this was done in sick TB patients, not healthy volunteers, so it doesn’t give direct tips for everyday health or longevity hacks.

Utility 1
pubmed 2001

[Immune and enzyme disorders in patients with acute pancreatitis].

Briskin. B S BS; Iarovaia. G A GA; Savchenko. Z I ZI; Rybakov. G S GS; Khalidov. O Kh OKh; Mkhitarov...

The study looked at 85 people with acute pancreatitis and found that their immune system was out of balance, with fewer helpful immune cells and antibodies, and weird neutrophil activity. These immune problems were linked to worse outcomes, and the researchers say measuring certain enzymes in the blood can help track disease severity and treatment success, suggesting that adding immune‑modulating drugs might improve results.

Utility 1
pubmed 1991

[Effect of thymagen, thymalin and vilosen on the cAMP and cGMP levels and phosphodiesterase activity in spleen lymphocytes during sensitization and anaphylactic shock].

Demidov. S V SV; Kostromin. A N AN; Kuĭbeda. V V VV; Chernaia. I V IV; Borovok. M I MI

The study shows that thymalin, a thymus‑derived peptide, can change the balance of cellular signaling molecules (cAMP and cGMP) and boost the enzymes that break them down in immune cells of guinea pigs during allergic reactions, but it’s an animal experiment with no human dosing or clear health‑boosting protocol.
